"When Homeopathy Makes you Sick"
By: Aurore Adamkiewicz, ND
Since both rashes and homeopathy are very misunderstood, I am continuing more information on these two subjects.
First of all, rashes are probably the most common ailment
I treat people for-everyone wants to deal with the rash first,
or often it is the first thing that makes people realize they need to treat.
When we are talking about eczema in general-
it is very psychosomatic, I have seen eczema in children
clear up when issues with the Mother have been resolved.
Alot of times I use constitutional homeopathy through the Mother to do this-
but many of you already know that I am very careful and reserved with homeopathy.
The lower potency and acute nature of classical homeopathy is driving illness deeper into the organs, homeopaths should know this-so why don't they still follow it?
Let me first explain Herings Law which upon homeopathy, naturopathic and later iridology practices were founded upon (Wood, 1954):
When the illness leave the body and there is the cure-there is a "law of direction"
*Symptoms leave from top to bottom
*From vital to less vital organs
*In reverse order in which they arrived
and later added by Dr. Bernard Jenson
* From internal to external
* An expected aggravation of symptoms or "healing crisis"
Now look at this example:
A person has a rash and attempts to self cure and takes a low potency (physical)
homeopathic to treat rash (which is external and often the latter stage of illness)
There may in fact be a remission of rash symptoms which would leave one to believe the had been a cure-but in fact-Hering's Law has been ignored (or the internal)
So, the rash is driven farther inside the body, attributing to later diseases such as:
liver disease, kidney disease, cancer, etc. In this way homeopathy acts like tylenol, a common fever and symptom suppressor.
A better and more educated treatment would be to:
Treat the psychosis (emotional symptoms) first and work your way across the "layers" that appear-in less doses and higher potency-
You may initially see a relief in emotional symptoms but a rash aggravation (to be expected). Than you continue down the "system" following Hering's Law.
This is stage one-and it is highly unlikely this stage can be accomplished by self treating, also highly unlikely a homeopath would be able to successfully treat this stage without first getting to know a client.
With my web clients-I typically don't arrive at homeopathic recommendations until the last week of our one month consult. Alot of time I have hunches that are right, but I always let the personality reveal itself on it's own terms...although I may use a homeopathic "expresser" like nat.mur, staphysagria, or ignatia to get the ball rolling.
So, in choosing herbs or homeopathy-keep in mind both herbs and homeopathy are being used like allopathic medicine. Reducing a fever with herbs or chemicals-will produce the same results-a disruption in the healing crisis. We would be wise to remember Hering's Law and also trust someone enough to help us get through stage one of our self healing journey.
