I find the issue of gender selection HIGHLY offensive-

the idea of forcing the sex and gender of a fetus on to the earth is wrong-

If we look at what happened in India when they found the grave of hundreds of dead female babies and in China-where the highly prized male has wiped out the population of females. We can plainly see how gender selection and "issues" have globally devasting effects. We can also conclude that wanting to create or have the "perfect" child is something that crosses all economic levels of civilization.

Don't you think it would be better to promote methods to help parents love the babies born to them regardless of their gender-and to let go of their genital fears, gender disgust and hatred? ...If it was only that easy.

I am a female, but I was supposed to be a "male" so I know first hand at how devastating emotionally it can be,

Furthermore, when we start playing God with gender selection-we disrupt the earth itself-

I would promote abortion before I would promote gender selection among parents-

We are foolish to believe that we can some how have perfect children and order them exactly the way we want-

Think of Hindu Mythology-Parvati, Krishna and Raida, Shiva, Shakti, Laxshmi and Vishnu and Don't forget that Saraswati killed herself because of the constant gaze and focus of her sexuality by Bhrama-

When we look at other religious factors and books we can see how females have been systematically eliminated from history and holy places. So, while I would like to conclude only females are effected-the truth is-it effects everyone because then we need to examine what a "male" is and you will often find people have very strict and even comically animated descriptions. More than just having a penis, males are required to go through a stringent male hazing process before they become an adult.

This indirectly relates to societies problem with mental illness

Then we won't need to be talking about schizophrenia, bipolar, ADD etc and most of these other illnesses if we became more conscious parents.

Coincidentally, regarding schizophrenia-Reich a student of Freud-proved was preverbal secondary drive caused most severely within the first 7 days of life-

I also remember reading in Reich and Dr. DeMeo's work that the silver nitrates in babies eyes attributed to schizophrenia-

Clearly this gender and mental illness problem can be fought most effectively in individual homes and conscious parenting.

address the "pink and blue".
