Celebrity Syndrome: The Joys of Being Sick, Blameless, Unconcious and Rich

Do you remember the sultry soul singer Toni Braxton who was quoted in saying "My doctor said I can't sing because I might hurt my toys" speaking on her ruptured breast implants. Well, she is on a comeback right now doing "Dancing With the Stars" and Disney movies. This is ten years after her breast augmentation scandle, bankruptcy and her severe vascular angina disease that she has *recovered* from. Added to her talent repertoire is a six year old boy Denim that is so smart he can "google anything", an autistic older brother (surprise, surprise) and a breast tumor (again, surprise, surprise). While I am happy to see she is on the career upswing, I am also distraught by the downswing of her children's life-does it have to always be so?

Disgusted to see this quote by Mrs. Braxton this morning about her breast tumor. "My grandmother on my dad's side died of breast cancer, and I have aunts on both sides that have breast cancer." Is what she told the press! No mention of her implant surgeries and poisonous moldy, viral and bacteria laden implants. No, Toni is convinced some family members had this type of cancer and so, of course-it would have happened to her anyway. Thank God for Toni that she can blame it on her weak family genes and not take any responsiblity for her health and her present situation.

Toni has come clean about her bad business decisions, to her tribute, but she needs to come clean about her health and Motherhood as well. This is to now help her autistic son recover and to heal her body as well. I put her in the same pile as Jenny Mcarthy, spending her time convincing others how disconnected she is from her body and children as a means to make themselves feel better and further their career. Would this time be better spent if these celebrities left Hollywood for a while, got their "stuff" together-meaning-bonding with their children and teaching their children to respect and love their body. Teaching your children to honor their body and not to chronically cut it up-is an important lesson for our celebrity obsessed society to learn. Mutilating yourself or children is abuse and true self-hatred. Could it be celebrities are just too rich, sold out, and managed to be honest. My heart and sadness lies with their children. Jenny and Toni have diverted the truth for a while but they have set up tragic consequences for future generations and instead of empowering their offspring they have weakend them and traded them in for the dollar. They are also responsible for contributing to the deterioration of civilizations health as a grand whole because many look to them as idols and sources of inspiration. Please read my other blogs on Jenny Mcarthy and the "autism show."
