Craniosacral Therapy and Rolfing-A Needle in a Therapy Haystack
As far as CST goes, I am leary about most craniosacral therapists...most stick to the ten step protocol, charge you for one hour, and then quickly "hit" each spot without effectively releasing any restrictions...
An occiput can take anywhere from five minutes to an hour to release...that is just one area..
I have seen therapists hold it for no longer than one minute....this ircks me...
I had a two hour and a half session on just a woman's occiput!
Most craniosacral therapists...don't meet my level of recommendation...I only know of one in Michigan that I trust and that is Mabel Sharpe in Southfield...
And from what I hear, Rolfing is going down the same road-it is very difficult to find a good Rolfer-but if you can the results are amazing. I posted my face after Rolfing on the top here, my eyes in particular have changed a lot. There is only one Rolfer in Michigan I recommend, Jeff Belanger. For those of you out of town, I would call him and see if he knows of someone out of state.
DON'T waste you money on expensive treatment and lousy therapists..
Unfortunately most people charge the same amount of money-so you cannot say
that you get what you pay for. I will research this more and try to find quality CST therapists and Rolfers all over the states. Perhaps I can get together with Jeff and write up some type of questionairre for people to fill out in order to get on the list.
It's a needle in a haystack none the less!
