I practice constitutional homeopathy-which is quite different from traditional.
With that being said, I take an extremely reserved view on homeopathy and recommend remedies some of the time but not all of the time with clients.
First of all, when I come across clients already using homeopathy, I generally find it is very abused and misunderstood. In two ways; by the person taking the remedies, and the person dispensing them.
One woman who worked at a health food store, was quite the know it all concerning homeopathy and used homeopathy on herself and her children-several times a day with several different remedies. Through closer examination I found that she really didn't understand homeopathy at all and was treating it with a "more is better" mentality-when in fact, nothing could be farther from the truth. Her stubborn dedication to homeopathy proved to be effective only some of the time or once in a while, because of her lack of properly following the instructions on how to use homeopathy. I was lead to conclude, after several consultations, that any relief she may have found could have been simply placebo related.
In general, American society, has been taught since birth that quanity is more powerful than quality. In every facet of life we Americans experience this. Such as; extra large proportions at restaurants, holidays filled with lots and lots of junkie plastic toys, oodles and oodles of vaccines, drugs, and antibiotics, extra large vehicles to drive around in, huge homes, mega malls and churches, and lots of cheap and low quality clothes...and let's not forget the fast food and biggie sized drinks and burgers.
So, my conclusion is that many people who use homeopathy, do not trust it and do not understand the premise in which it works and therefore foil the results by improper technique or by innundating themselves unnecessarily with too many remedies.
A homeopathic "over-dose".
I am not inclined to believe that homeopathy is 100% safe and cannot be overdosed.
No, by comparison, homeopathy is a deeply profound-serious, and very very powerful and effective therapy. It needs to be treated with reverence and respect-like anything else.
Number two, a good homeopath is a diamond in the rough...
I just spoke to someone who told me that they went to homepathy school and got a homeopathy certificate in less then three months?! Is this true? I don't know, but in some ways, I believe concentrating on homeopathy has it's pros and cons...
You should be able to get to know the thousands of remedies fairly well,
However, not everyone can use homeopathy, and sometimes the correct remedy cannot be found (of course its out there somewhere).
So, in this respect-there has to be a high respect for homeopathy between client and homeopath, a perfect orchestration-and simply put, two dedicated and educated personalities.
My view,
Well, I only use homeopathy on someone I know will read over my packet of information and agree to it's simple but important terms. If they are going to drink coffee and use mint toothpaste and lie to me about it, I am going to tell them straight up-Not to waste their time and money with homeopathy.
Also, given the length of time the remedies take to work and the deep and profound effects,
I usually never recommend more than a few pillules of one type of remedy per month,
seldom more than two different kinds at a time,
and try to give each remedy three months at least to come to fruition.
that means I have to be careful not to cross out or anecdote the others by adding more and more homepathics out of frustration, impatience, and distrust.
I have some recommendations for the general public,
Trust in the remedies, give them time to work,
and follow the instructions faithfully,
And you should be guaranteed, excellent results.
